Henderson County commissioners approve routine items including agreements, permits and payrolls

The court approved the minutes of the March 3, 2026 regular session and then voted unanimously to approve four refund checks from the tax assessor-collector totaling $33,444.59 for reimbursement/overpayment.
Other approvals included filing the Constable Precinct 3 racial profiling report (for filing purposes only), renewing a three-year sponsorship agreement with the Caine Center YMCA (noted in the briefing as $12,500 per year with memberships and rental credits), and authorizing county signature to activate two 20-year metal roof warranties for the Henderson County AgriLife and Senior Citizens Building.

Staff also presented the proposed FY2026 tire bid advertisement schedule (first ad March 14, second March 21, bids opened April 7, consideration April 14) and the court approved proceeding with the bid.
All recorded motions considered during the meeting passed unanimously; no items were tabled or failed. The court adjourned at 09:38.
