Council adopts FY26 budget and class-and-comp adjustments

Boulder City’s council approved the fiscal year 2026 general fund budget and associated class-and-compensation adjustments during the June 3 meeting.
Budget Manager Angela Manninen presented a $46.8 million general fund budget and explained compensation recommendations: a 3% contract adjustment for the electric union, a 3.5% cost-of-living adjustment for non‑bargaining staff, and a corrected 2.6% annual increase for appointees (the packet had listed a 2.3% monthly figure in error). The approved class-and-compensation resolution sets position ranges and supports 223.4 full-time equivalent positions for FY26.
Council opened the required public hearing; no substantive public comment altered the proposal. After corrections and discussion, council voted unanimously to adopt the final operating and capital budgets and to approve Resolution 79‑75 for position class titles and ranges.
