Committee presses staff for vendor details as courtyard, pool furniture and ARC phase 3 proceed toward budget estimates
Summary
Facilities staff reported several procurement and CIP items: Koontz cardio equipment installation, awarded Beardsley pool furniture bids, and phase 3 ARC drawings that could bring an estimated $80,000 courtyard renovation once power and other needs are included. Committee members asked for vendor photos, local-seller options and a working list of outstanding projects.

Facilities operations staff updated the Properties Committee on several procurement and CIP items, and committee members pressed for more information before final approvals.
Sabrina Alabito, facilities operations manager, said new cardio equipment was installed at Koontz and the fitness room will reopen with an open house. She reported that three bids for Beardsley pool furniture were received, a vendor was awarded and orders are being placed. Committee members requested photos, vendor names and the opportunity to preview proposed furniture, and Sabrina said she would provide mock-ups and vendor information at the next meeting.
On capital projects, Herschel Workman said he had received drawings for phase 3 of the ARC, sent them to fabricators and a general contractor and expected a firm budget estimate by mid-to-late February. He said the courtyard furniture/renovation estimate currently looks to be around $80,000, "give or take 5," but that running power to outdoor facilities could change the final number.
Committee members emphasized following the three-bid procurement policy, asked that furniture be durable and locally serviceable, and asked staff to identify which items on the working spreadsheet are low priority. Russ described how he generates work orders for clubs and facilities and updates the shared spreadsheet, and committee members asked staff to produce a clear, recurring list of projects and status updates for their review.
