The Lake Havasu City Council voted March 10 to award Job Order Contract Task Order Number 3 for the FY25–26 chip-seal program to Cactus Asphalt for $1,997,451.20.
Public Works (Mister Young, speaker 22) described this year’s program as larger than prior years — roughly 875,000 square yards of material — with work scheduled to take place in April and May and to be completed by May. The award authorizes the contractor to proceed under the city’s existing JOC framework and funds the chip-seal program through the approved budget.
Councilmember Campbell moved to award the task order and Councilmember Moses seconded. The motion carried 7–0.
What’s next: Contractor mobilization is expected to begin in April; staff will oversee project scheduling and public notifications for affected streets.
