Pinal County donates nearly $20,000 in IT equipment to Florence Library

The Pinal County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved an equipment donation on March 18 to assist the Town of Florence Library in moving off the county network. IT staff said the donation includes 27 desktop computers, three printers and 29 monitors with an estimated value of $19,600.13.
Jason Cantrell of Pinal County IT explained the equipment is already on site and being removed from the county network to support the library's independent operations. "This item is to donate IT equipment to the Town of Florence Library to help support their transition off the county network onto their own," Cantrell said during the meeting. The board approved the donation by unanimous consent.
County staff noted unanimous consent was required for the donation and that this type of equipment transfer is standard practice when devices are already located at partner sites. The board took a photo with the IT representative following the vote.
