Council proclaimed April 2026 Innovation Month and heard a TVE2 update describing incubator services, a rent‑waiver program, and pitch competition success that placed a local startup into county‑level finals.
The Temecula City Council on April 14 proclaimed April 2026 as Innovation Month and heard a detailed update on local entrepreneurial supports from Mary Cervantes, the city’s TVE2 manager.
Cervantes said the Temecula Valley Entrepreneurs Exchange (TVE2) offers incubator office space, technical assistance, workshops and a rent‑waiver program that has supported entrepreneurs for nearly four years. She reported the Southwest Region Quick Pitch competition drew 26 entries with eight qualifiers; the first‑place winner received $1,000 and will advance to Riverside County’s final pitch with an opportunity for larger funding.
A tenant, Alejandro Tejeda of Terra Network Solutions, credited TVE2 with helping his company graduate from the incubator and expand operations. “Being part of the Temecula Entrepreneur Exchange has been an incredible experience to our team,” Tejeda said.
Cervantes also listed TVE2 metrics: about 20 current incubator tenants, more than 5,000 businesses receiving mentorship and training in the prior year, roughly 2,400 jobs created or retained, and over $700,000 invested into the community. The council thanked staff and asked staff to coordinate community events tied to Innovation Month and TVE2 programming.
