Summary
Council approved the February revenue report, renewed the city medical plan through WebT (5% increase), approved an amendment with WYDOT for the Bear River Bridge project, acknowledged a municipal court judge vacancy, and approved routine bills and a VFW parade closure.
In addition to major items, the Evanston City Council handled several routine but consequential items on April 7.
The council approved the February revenue and expenditure report after clarifying line-item displays that show some revenues over 100 percent of anticipated amounts. The body also renewed the city’s employer medical plan through the Wyoming Educators Benefit Trust (WebT); staff said the renewal carries a 5% premium increase and retains the existing deductible and plan design.
Council adopted Amendment 1 to the cooperative agreement with the Wyoming Department of Transportation to clarify project numbers for rehabilitation of the Bear River Bridge, a ministerial change that does not alter the scope of planned work. The council also received notice that the municipal court judge, Judge Stout, has been appointed to a circuit court judgeship in Sweetwater County and that staff will move quickly to identify and install a replacement.
Consent items included approval of a VFW veterans awareness ride route and the payment of routine bills. The public comment period produced no speakers.
Ending: These items were approved on voice votes; staff will proceed with renewals, contract paperwork and follow-up on the municipal court replacement process.
