In a separate report, staff member Doug reported on upcoming City Commission agenda items and local projects: coordination with East Grand Rapids Public Schools on temporary parking during a high‑school construction project, an expansion of yard‑waste and food‑scraps composting service (covered by property taxes, with an FAQ on the city website), and phased road and water‑main work on Oakwood, Beechwood, Bonnell and Cambridge streets scheduled for the summer.
