Cascade City Council adopts fiscal year 2027 operating budget after brief hearing

The council then approved the resolution read aloud in the meeting packet (read in the meeting as “resolution number 20 two-twenty 6”) to adopt the FY2027 operating budget, which begins July 1, 2026, and ends June 30, 2027.
The Chair asked for public comment and noted a three-minute limit per person; no members of the public spoke during the hearing. After the hearing closed, councilmembers moved and seconded the adoption motion and the resolution passed on roll call.
The adoption authorizes the city to operate under the FY2027 revenue and expenditure plan as presented in the council packet; the council did not raise additional amendments during the meeting. The council will publish the budget documents and proceed with implementation under the schedule in the packet.
The council proceeded to other agenda business after the budget vote.
