Euclid City Council on Oct. 6 voted to object to a Division of Liquor Control stock transfer application for Pensaroni Inc at 434 East 200 Street (the former Christie’s), saying city staff have unresolved questions about the proposed uses and that fire and building inspectors had not had an opportunity to inspect the premises.
Administration said the applicant (Hassan Mutlak LLC, proprietor the same individual) was not present and that the city had objected to an earlier application in May and had a hearing scheduled on that objection for Oct. 30. "It's still unclear as to what the uses are," administration said, and recommended council enter an objection pending clarification and inspections.
Council moved to object and took a roll call; members voted in favor and Jaros announced "Motion to object has passed." No additional conditions or approvals were added by council on Oct. 6; staff said they will continue outreach to the applicant and prepare for the scheduled hearing.
The applicant was not present at the meeting and no representative gave testimony on Oct. 6.
