The Euclid Board of Control approved multiple requisitions for city services and equipment and set a March 9 bid opening for the Municipal Complex Security Camera Enhancement Program during its meeting on Monday, March 2.
Board members unanimously approved minutes from the Feb. 23 meeting on a motion by Director Stevens, seconded by Director Cooney. The board then moved through several requisitions brought by Public Works, motor maintenance and the IT department, approving each after brief staff explanations.
Among the approvals, the board authorized payments to GPD Group for engineering work: $8,500 (general fund) described as a partial payment on city engineering services; $55,583.72 from the Waste Water/Peterson trunk line for ongoing sewer-study work; and $66,285.28 from the Peterson trunk line for continued design work on the CSO-6 control measure. The board also approved $30,486.72 to Rush Truck Centers for an exhaust system repair on a large plow truck; $30,000 to To Come In Sales and Service for additional engine work on a fire department engine; $6,928.18 to Terrex Utilities Inc. for a DOT-required annual inspection and repairs for a bucket truck; and $25,500 to Rare Step Inc. as a renewal for the motor maintenance software listed in the transcript as "Fleideo." Each requisition was moved and seconded (movers are not always identified in the transcript) and approved after the board responded "Aye."
The presiding officer announced a bid opening on March 9 for the Municipal Complex Security Camera Enhancement Program. With no further business, the meeting adjourned after a motion to adjourn moved in the transcript by Councilwoman Hiles and seconded by Director Sage.
The board did not record any roll-call tallies by name in the transcript; votes are recorded only as "Aye." The transcript uses two spellings for one council member (appearing as both "Heil" and "Hiles"); that inconsistency is noted in clarifying details below.
Votes at a glance: all items on the agenda were approved as moved.
Next steps: the only forward-scheduled public action recorded in the meeting is the March 9 bid opening for the security-camera enhancement program.
