Chisago County details Highway 8 study, warns of wetlands mitigation and 2027–29 construction window

Chisago County Public Works Director Joe Triplett told the Wyoming City Council on July 15 that the county is studying several alternatives for the Highway 8/Casa 22 area, including roundabouts and a possible realignment of Kettle River Boulevard to serve a proposed development.
Those alternatives are still in early modeling, Triplett said. He added the Trunk Highway portion of the project would be handled by MnDOT and would require outside funding; “if they indeed want that, they’ll have to bring funding to the table,” he said.
