The Biloxi City Council unanimously approved three policy-agenda items on Feb. 3: two conditional-use permits authorizing short-term rental use at properties on Rodenburg Avenue and a conditional-use permit for a new acupuncture/pain-management clinic.
Councilmember Gray moved to grant conditional use for a single-family home at 285 Rodenburg Avenue; the motion was seconded by Councilmember Creel and carried without opposition after staff described the properties as rehabs on a commercial corridor. The council then approved a conditional use for a duplex at 289 Rodenburg (items A and B); the motion carried unanimous.
Separately, the council approved a conditional-use permit for a medical clinic at 242 Beaufort Road to accommodate an acupuncture/pain-management operator. Staff said the clinic would be a newly constructed building in an area of existing medical offices; council discussion was brief and supportive.
Votes at a glance: the transcript records that motions passed and, in each case, the chair called the question and stated "motion carries" or "motion carries unanimous;" no roll-call tallies were recorded in the public transcript.
What this means: property owners may proceed under the conditions set in each resolution; staff will process any required permits and inspections. The council did not attach additional conditions in open session during the approvals recorded in the transcript.
Next steps: city planning and code-enforcement staff will finalize permits and notify applicants of any administrative requirements.
