Webster County approves pay application and contracts for local trails and River’s Edge Discovery Center

On recommendation of Conservation Director Matt Cosgrove, the board approved Pay Application #8 to Wicks Construction for $210,861.95 for work on the Badger Trail. The board also reviewed quotes and approved a construction contract for the Gowrie Trail and authorized Supplemental Agreement for Additional Services #01 with Snyder & Associates for $62,500 for construction administration and staking.
Separately, the board approved Change Order #6 in the amount of $5,406.60 to Jensen Builders for work on the River’s Edge Discovery Center. All motions related to these project actions were moved and seconded during the session and carried unanimously, and the documents were noted as on file in the Auditor’s Office.
Conservation Director Matt Cosgrove was recorded in the meeting minutes as recommending these actions. The approvals advance construction and oversight steps for the county’s trail and conservation facility projects.
