CVRI updates Main Street projects, apartment repairs and Veterans Memorial funding

Chair opened the roster of projects by describing a $200,000 package for Main Street that covers both public- and private-sector work, and reported private-sector activity at the Triangle apartments: "we've now finished number, 5. We got a good tenant in there" and that units 6 and 9 are next in line for work and leasing. Chair also described RDA-managed repairs on the Mossack (Wasatch) block, saying the heritage area "gave an $8,600 grant to the RDA to do the following things," including cleaning and installing a new heating/air system in a ground-floor unit.
Chair said the RDA provided an additional $20,000 to support east-side repairs, and described moving a resident from a handicapped-accessible unit (D) into another unit (C) because the tenant could not return to the original apartment. On the 5‑acre arena project, Chair said the board had paid $48,000 to White Peak Ranch for a container/invoice tied to the project and that completion would allow the board to consider additional fundraising to relocate rodeo activities in 2027 or 2028.
On the Veterans Memorial, Chair reported a $30,000 grant from the Eccles Foundation matched by $30,000 from the heritage area and noted a $5,800 payment to Sunrise Engineering for the site plan. The chair closed by saying staff will continue moving projects forward and that an update will be provided next month.
Several practical follow-ups were identified (unit repairs, tenant moves, and continued fundraising); no formal new expenditures or binding decisions were made during the reported discussion.
