The Daggett County Municipal Building Authority on April 14 approved several construction change orders, acknowledged routine financial reports and authorized disbursements totaling $540,549.32.
At the meeting, Commissioner AC moved to approve the minutes from the Authority’s April 7 meeting, and the board adopted them by voice vote. Commissioners then acknowledged the cash summary and accounts receivable as of April 9, 2026, approved an open invoice register of $4,268.81 and approved the disbursement summary for April 3–10, 2026 in the amount of $540,549.32.
Project updates accompanied the financial business. Trevor, who provided the water‑plant update, said the Dutch John culinary water membrane filtration plant completed a seven‑day startup run and staff are "getting all that information compiled and emailed into the state," adding he is "hopefully optimistic to have that operating permit by the end of the month." The board discussed budget implications and thanked Sunrise Engineering for its role in keeping projects on track.
The Authority approved Change Order No. 12 for the Daggett County Health Business and Community Center, a combined package of three project change orders totaling $46,422.83. Project manager Jesse described the components as: PCO 23, a restricted keyway for secure door hardware ($6,128.30); PCO 24, exterior modifications including three bollards and noncombustible awnings and related gypsum work ($31,428.41); and PCO 25, tariffs and controls for the elevator ($8,866.12). Jesse said the change order "fits within our current construction contingency from the funding that we've received from CIB," and no additional funding was required.
The board also approved a $3,500 change order to Alders to cover additional structural all‑thread, cross‑brackets and labor needed to install an operable wall separating the community room — work that arose after design and was not covered by the previously donated portion of the wall.
A separate change order to Westech for the Dutch John filtration plant — $19,262 for programming and controls modifications — was approved after Trevor explained that additional PLC capacity and tag points were needed following startup. Trevor said the work will add roughly $15,000 to the project but that available engineering‑line savings should cover the overage; another commissioner confirmed the items are new scope rather than contract items omitted from the original documents.
The meeting concluded with thanks to project staff and contractors for progress on the health center and water projects. Chair adjourned the meeting by acclamation at 10:02 a.m.
