South Barrington board approves staffing hires, monument-sign contract and disposals of surplus police property

At its Oct. 13 meeting the Village Board approved the appointment of Ryan Murphy and ratified Elsie Guerra’s hire for police records; accepted a contract with Olympik Signs for village monument signs; approved two warrant runs totaling $457,227.07; and adopted ordinances to dispose of surplus police hardware and one patrol vehicle.
Mayor Paula McCombie called the Village Board of the Village of South Barrington to order on Oct. 13, 2022, and the board approved several personnel appointments, contracts and routine financial measures before adjourning at 8:31 p.m.
The board unanimously approved two warrant runs that covered operating expenditures. Trustee Joseph Abbate moved to approve Warrant Run #1 for $214,865.30; Trustee Dr. Anthony Stagno seconded. Roll call recorded Abbate-Aye, Guranovich-Aye, Stagno-Aye and Mayor McCombie-Aye; Trustees Edgar Alvarado, Bernard Kerman and Dr. Hina Patel were absent.
