The Wayne County Board of Supervisors approved the meeting agenda and routine business items at their March 17 meeting, including minutes from March 3 and March 5, payroll for March 13 and the March 17 claim set. The minutes record that, unless otherwise noted, all motions were approved unanimously by the supervisors present (Chris Moore, Todd Wilson and Lance Lange).
The board authorized a Request for Proposal for audit services covering fiscal years 2026–2028. Chair Chris Moore moved to approve the RFP; Lance Lange seconded. Auditor Michelle Dooley will distribute the RFP to the State Auditor's Office and to Forvis Mazars; Anderson Larkin and Terpstra Hoke told Dooley they would not take Wayne County as a client at this time.
Lange moved to table a separate SCICAP request for funding a "beds for children" project until the board's April 14 meeting while supervisors explore whether opioid settlement funds could be an allowable funding source; Moore seconded. The board adjourned at 10:21 a.m.
