Reading their prepared letter, Christian said the communication served as official notice of resignation and offered to assist with the transition. “This letter serves as notice of my resignation as city clerk of Winter Springs, effective 05/15/2026,” Christian said.
Commissioners responded with thanks and said HR and the city manager would begin transition planning, including creating candidate lists and returning finalists to the commission for selection. Mayor Kevin McCann asked HR to prepare guidelines and said the commission would be kept informed as candidates are identified.
