Oscoda County approves records automation and fingerprinting software purchases, and multiple small budget amendments

Libby Marsh-Shephard, Clerk/Register of Deeds, requested authority to contract with Kofile Technologies, Inc. for plat preservation services and to purchase a new plat cabinet and storage, with a contract total of $24,834 to be paid from the ROD equipment budget line (motion 2025-314). The board approved the agreement and amended the budget accordingly on a unanimous roll call.
The board also approved a $6,785 purchase agreement with Dataworks Plus for CPL fingerprinting software to be paid from the Concealed Pistol Licensing budget (motion 2025-315). Both motions passed 5-0.
Additional consent calendar items included multiple targeted increases to Elections and Clerk budget lines: Elections office supplies ($1,250), elections equipment non-capital ($940), elections travel ($100), elections printing/publishing ($700); Clerk office supplies ($750), computer supplies ($2,305.01), employee training ($450), BCN/VSP/DELTA benefits ($8,490), life insurance ($73.86); and the creation of a Historical Commission contracted services line in the Special Fund. These items were approved as part of the consent calendar (motion 2025-305).
