Members cautioned that changing a site from the original grant application can risk funding: Shay warned that “sometimes they won’t let you move the courts from where it was initially placed on the application” and that, in some cases, “they’ll pull the money.”
Committee member (S6) moved to approve “location number 1, which is between the ball field and the restrooms,” a motion the Chair (S1) seconded. The council approved the motion by voice vote and directed staff to: verify the grant application’s originally listed location with the grant administrator, place a contingent location vote on a future agenda, and proceed with preparing a grant‑contingent site plan.
