Sheboygan County Board adopts UW–Green Bay agreement amendment, rural classification changes, transportation funding request and salary ordinance

On April 14, 2026 the Sheboygan County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved four measures affecting county-university relations, road classification, transportation funding and elected officials’ pay.
The board adopted Resolution No. 24, approving an amendment to the agreement between Sheboygan County and the University of Wisconsin Board of Regents for the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus. The Executive Committee’s report was read into the record and Supervisor Brian Goehring moved to adopt the resolution; Supervisor Kuhlow seconded. The motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
The board also adopted Resolution No. 25, which approves changes to the county’s Rural Functional Classification System. Supervisor Wegner moved to adopt the resolution; Supervisor Goehring seconded and the motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
Resolution No. 26, a request for sustainable transportation funding, was read by the clerk from the Finance Committee report. Supervisor Wegner moved for adoption; Supervisor Koch seconded and the resolution carried on a unanimous roll call vote.
Finally, the board enacted Ordinance No. 16, amending certain elected officials’ salaries for the Clerk of Courts and the Sheriff. The Finance Committee recommended enactment, Supervisor Goehring moved to enact the ordinance and Supervisor Ellis seconded; the motion carried on a unanimous roll call vote. The transcript does not specify the new salary amounts.
All votes were recorded as unanimous roll call votes; the clerk’s roll call earlier in the meeting recorded 24 supervisors present (one supervisor was absent at the initial roll call and joined later).
