Greeley County adopts 1 & 6 Year Road Plan, awards scraper bid and contracts bridge inspections

The Greeley County Board unanimously adopted Resolution 2018-1 approving the county’s 1 & 6 Year Road Improvement Plan following a public hearing at which Road Superintendent Lance Harter presented the plan and no members of the public testified against it.
Separately, the board opened bids for a Caterpillar 615C scraper and accepted the low bid from Petersen Heavy Equipment LLC for $66,000. The bid award was recorded by roll call vote.
Throughout the year the board approved a series of road‑fund purchases and contracts recorded in the claims docket, including large culvert orders (Ace Irrigation & Manufacturing) and gravel and concrete purchases from multiple suppliers. The board also authorized an agreement with Oak Creek Engineering for routine inspections on dozens of county bridge structures and approved related engineering contracts and inspection work.
County officials approved other road-related permits and maintenance items during multiple sessions, including permit approvals to cross county roadways with waterlines or fiber optic cables and the renewal of leased equipment such as a Bobcat compact track loader.
