Across regular meetings in 2015 the Fillmore County Planning Commission recorded and approved a steady stream of local permits, subdivisions and a number of conditional-use permits for accessory structures.
Notable approvals recorded in the minutes include the Lefever Subdivision (SW ¼ 33-7-3) approved March 16; the Mitchell T Hedden lot split/replat approved April 20 (Dan Risseeuw abstained on that vote); the Otte Subdivision approved June 15; and a waiver for the Hoarty Subdivision (1.3 acres in SE ¼ Section 8-7-3) approved Nov. 16. The commission also recorded repeated approvals of CUPs for accessory or primary-structure garages and buildings, including approvals for Scott and Denise Worrell and Dennis True II (May and June), and several permit approvals for pivots, bins, garages and residential construction recorded across monthly permit listings.
The minutes show some permit applications were denied (for example permits #1916 and #1918 noted as denied in April). The commission often listed the permit table in each meeting’s minutes with applicant name, legal description, address and permit type (e.g., pivot, grain bin, building, fence). Several agenda items were continued or deferred for additional information (for example discussion of the J2 Ag Subdivision in January requested more information on two lots).
Procedural actions — approving agendas, minutes, and scheduling future meetings — were recorded at every session. The minutes do not include detailed staff reports, technical exhibits or recorded public opposition on most routine permit items; they principally document motions, roll-call votes, attendees and the next meeting date.
