Harlan City Council approved a $7,750 historic-preservation facade completion award to Milk and Honey at 919 7th Street during its May 20 meeting.
Council reviewed pictures of the completed facade and confirmed the work met program requirements. "They spent well more — way more than what they're getting back, but good for them," the chair said, commending the property owner’s investment.
A motion to approve the payment carried by unanimous roll call. The grant is a completion award under the city’s downtown upper-story and facade program; council members said the finished work will improve the downtown streetscape.
Staff will process the payment per the program’s usual disbursement procedures.
