Greeley County adopts updated comprehensive plan and zoning regulations after hearings

After a public hearing process initiated on Sept. 29, 2015 and continued review, the Greeley County Board of Commissioners approved updated Planning & Zoning regulations and adopted the Greeley County Comprehensive Plan at the Oct. 27, 2015 meeting. Franz Trumler, the Planning & Zoning Administrator, summarized the revisions and the board recorded the Planning & Zoning Commission membership and its contribution to the update.
The hearings were advertised and there was no testimony in opposition at the sessions recorded in the minutes. The board moved to approve both the Comprehensive Plan and the updated regulations and thanked the commission for the time and effort required to prepare the documents. The board scheduled no further immediate actions but noted that implementation of regulations and plan policies will proceed through routine permitting and review processes.
The minutes record that the board recommended additional public review time in one instance prior to final action; the final approval was recorded on Oct. 27, 2015.
