Greeley County adopts 1 & 6-year road improvement plan after public hearing

On Feb. 10, 2015 the Greeley County Board of Commissioners opened an advertised public hearing on the county's 1 & 6 Year Road Improvement Plan. Don Roy, the county Highway Superintendent, and Sandy Stachura, Road Secretary, presented the proposed plan and answered procedural questions. No members of the public appeared to testify for or against the plan.
After closing the hearing, the board adopted Resolution 2015-2 to approve the 1 & 6 Year Road Improvement Plan. The motion to open and later to adopt the resolution was recorded by roll call as passed unanimously where noted. The action formalizes the county's prioritized road and bridge maintenance and improvement schedule for the coming years and enables related project planning and budgeting.
The board recorded the adoption as a formal resolution and directed staff to file and post the plan as required by county procedure. Further project-specific decisions remain subject to project bids, available funds and subsequent board action.
