Lee County Transit introduces Ultra on‑demand rides in Lehigh Acres

Lee County Transit introduced Ultra, an app-based curb-to-curb on-demand ride service in Lehigh Acres. Dominic Tremeli, director of Lee County Transit, said the county brought the service to Lehigh Acres to help residents who face transportation barriers.

"We brought Ultra to Lehigh Acres because we believe transportation shouldn't be a barrier to everyday life," Tremeli said. Officials said riders can request a vehicle through the Ultra app, enter a destination within the service zone and track the vehicle in the app until pickup.
