The Wayne County Board of Supervisors completed a set of routine administrative actions on Aug. 5, including the appointment of Mark Hewitt to the Veteran Affairs Commission, adoption of Resolution 26-03 designating county voting representatives to the Iowa State Association of Counties and affiliated associations, and approval of the claims register totaling $204,905.49.
Resolution 26-03 lists named representatives for multiple affiliated associations (for example, Chris Moore, Lance Lange and Todd Wilson as the county supervisors's ISAC representatives; Amanda Cooper as the treasurers' representative; Michelle Dooley as auditor representative; Dillon Davenport as engineers' representative; and other staff designations). The resolution directs the county to forward a copy to ISAC's support address.
The meeting minutes record department updates (including a reminder of a 1st Thursday Coffee from Wayne County Development) and note an EMS retirement letter from Bill Byrns effective Nov. 5, 2025, with the EMS commission planning to make the position part-time and advertise. The board adjourned at 10:50 a.m.; its next meeting is scheduled for Aug. 19, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
