The La Crosse City Plan Commission voted March 30 to approve a ministerial action to record a parcel connected to the December 2025 partial vacation of 13th Street tied to the Badger Corrugating campus redevelopment.
Deputy Director Eklund said Badger Corrugating had previously been approved for a portion of 13th Street to be vacated for use as parking in the campus redevelopment. During final recording of that earlier vacation, staff discovered a parcel to the north had not been properly recorded with the county; the current action corrects that administrative oversight so the prior council authorization can be finalized. "This is administratively just trying to clean that up so that we can finalize what was approved back in December 2025," Eklund said.
Director Gallagher moved to approve the recording; council member Trotz seconded. The chair recorded the motion as approved; no roll-call tally appears in the transcript.
Next steps: staff will complete the county recording to finalize the December 2025 street vacation and associated parking changes.
