Claire Javonstein, the city’s stormwater coordinator, told the Board of Public Works that the city submitted its 2025 MS4 (Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System) annual report to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources last week and summarized the year’s compliance activities. “That just basically goes over a summary of everything that we were doing in the last year to comply with that permit,” Javonstein said, and asked the board to review the document before her quarterly stormwater utility presentation at the council meeting next week.
Council member Gog moved to receive and file the report; director Gallagher seconded the motion. The board voted unanimously to receive and file the report. Javonstein said the submission makes the document publicly available and that she would be available to answer questions at next week’s council presentation.
The action does not change permit conditions; it provides public notice and places the report in the municipal record. The board’s receipt of the report means the city has filed the 2025 MS4 materials with the DNR and will review implementation items with the full council at a later meeting.
