The Beardstown City Council received routine departmental reports at its Oct. 8, 2024 meeting.
The Water Superintendent reported total gallons pumped for September 2024 as 15,786,400 and a year-to-date figure (May 1–Apr 30) of 82,233,678. The Police Chief's September report listed 979 calls answered and included monthly and year-to-date counts for arrests, traffic stops and other enforcement statistics. The Fire Chief's report summarized August and year-to-date fire responses (August: 21 total incidents; May 1–Apr 30: 96 total). Code enforcement and zoning officer reports were attached to the minutes. The public minutes present the statistical summaries but do not include analysis or requests for action.
