County Manager Jim Carter told commissioners that when the tipping-fee adjustments were discussed at a prior work session he was unaware the county’s contract with Golden Environmental expires in June. "He asked the Board to remove the consideration of these items from the agenda until the contract with Golden can be renegotiated," the transcript records. Commissioner Melissa Hughes moved to remove Resolutions No. 2026-08 and 2026-09 from the agenda; Commissioner Paul Webb seconded the motion, which carried 6-0.
