Hempfield Area School District approves high-school renovation steps and $1.42 million HVAC upgrade

The Hempfield Area School District Board of Directors on Jan. 27 approved a series of contract actions moving forward the Hempfield Area Senior High School renovation and a major HVAC upgrade at Maxwell Elementary.
Board President Jerry Radebaugh moved to approve Supplemental 03 to the agreement with Herbert, Rowland & Grubic, Inc., for an additional survey, zoning-variance coordination and courtyard detailing for the high school project in the amount of $12,900 plus reimbursable expenses; Supplemental 04 for demolition and related site work was approved with the final cost to be determined on a time-and-materials basis.
