The committee said most of its suggestions were incorporated into the preliminary plan and recommended moving next to final design steps once public feedback is received at a scheduled session tomorrow from 5 to 7 p.m. in the council chambers.
The committee emphasized a phased construction approach so modules can be added as grant or town funds become available. The committee asked that the council authorize use of previously allocated town funds for baseline earth and site preparation so future grants can be pursued. Several councilors asked for cost estimates and the timeline; the committee said cost figures will follow once the public presentation finalizes the preferred option.
