Smith detailed the distribution of votes — early voting, on‑day, and absentee — and noted 18 domestic absentee ballots were received, three provisional absentee ballots were cured, and one cured rejected ballot was recorded. She also reviewed precinct and site logistics including six precincts open on election day, 43 poll workers, 18 poll pads, 54 touchscreens and nine scanners.
"Our priorities are centered around enhancing the voter experience for all eligible voters in our great county," Smith said, and she thanked staff, poll workers and county partners for helping facilitate the election.
After Smith's presentation a board member moved to certify the election; the motion was seconded and the board voted to approve certification without dissent.
The board then recessed briefly to sign paperwork related to the certification and returned to continue business.
What happens next: With certification complete, the results stand as presented and the board proceeded to consider subsequent agenda items, including early‑voting plans for an upcoming special election runoff.
