Snyder City Council bans amusement redemption machines on second reading; facade-grant extension postponed

In new business, the council considered a requested second amendment to a Chapter 3.80 façade grant performance agreement for White Buffalo Rentals LLC. Staff reported the company was having difficulty obtaining materials and recommended a six-month extension so the project can be completed. Council members discussed the request and a motion was made to approve the amendment, but abstentions and concerns about whether enough members could vote were raised. The chair said the item would be placed on the April agenda for further action.
The council also appointed Paula Juarez as election judge and Tracy Holliday as alternate election judge for the May election; that motion carried unanimously. The council then designated Paula Juarez, Tracy Holliday and Yadira Gonzalez as deputy early voting clerks for May; that vote was likewise unanimous.
The council adjourned after setting the next regular meeting for April 6 at 5:30 p.m.
