Loganville utility board begins DNR five-year report; sampling under way

The Village of Loganville utility board met at 6:52 p.m. on Jan. 13. Utility maintenance lead Mark Kruse told trustees the Department of Natural Resources five-year report is due April 3 and that sampling has already begun; four of the 11 required samples have been completed. Kruse asked whether the consultancy Vierbicher should review the report before it is finalized and noted a review could cost "a few thousand," according to the minutes. Trustees discussed storing completed samples until all required samples are collected and then submitting them together.
Kruse also reported that the El Ranchito building has been winterized and that he located and marked the exterior water shutoff for future access after the owner had requested the water be shut off from outside the building.
The utility board approved previous minutes (motion by Douglas/Koenig) and voted to pay utility bills totaling $5,844.99 (motion by Repka/Thieding); both motions are recorded as carried in the minutes. The utility meeting adjourned at 7:01 p.m.
