Chartiers Valley Board approves 2026–27 calendar, AIU classroom lease and a series of routine motions

The Chartiers Valley Board of School Directors unanimously approved a set of routine but consequential items at its March 10, 2026 legislative meeting.
The board approved the 2026–27 school calendar and accepted the Human Resources report for the session. Members also approved February 2026 payments for the 2025–26 budget, including charter school payments, and authorized payment of construction invoices presented to the board.
The board approved a one‑year lease with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit (AIU) for use of one classroom at Chartiers Valley Primary School to support the AIU Head Start Program. The lease term is one year with annual rent of $10,630 as presented to the board.
Separately, the board adopted two resolutions appointing Jordan Tax Service, Inc. to fulfill tax‑collection duties for the Township of Scott. The board also approved Johnson Controls to replace the fire alarm panel at the Intermediate School.
The second reading of Policy 702.1 — Memorials, which sets guidelines for acceptance and management of memorial contributions and requests, was approved on its second reading.
All motions on the agenda were moved, seconded and passed on unanimous voice votes; the minutes, nominations and other listed items were accepted without recorded opposition. The meeting adjourned at 7:34 P.M., and the board announced its next meeting for March 24, 2026.
