Commissioners Michael Beckendorf and Jody Rodriguez honored at Bridal Planning and Zoning Commission meeting

A staff member (S3) read plaques and presented gifts to Commissioner Michael Beckendorf and Commissioner Jody Rodriguez. The plaque for Beckendorf listed service years read in the meeting as “2006 to 2014, 2018 to 2025.” Staff also noted that Rodriguez’s years were read as 2017 to 2025 in the plaque but that it “was supposed to be 2015,” indicating a correction in the meeting’s remarks.
Chair (S1) said the newer commissioners had benefited from the experience of Beckendorf and Rodriguez, adding: “there were a number of us that came on as junior commissioners… I really appreciated… having, both commissioners, Rodriguez and Beckendorf there with the experience.”
Commissioner (S4) thanked the departing members for their sacrifices and service: “So appreciate the, the sacrifice for you and Mr. Beckendorf… we appreciate y’all.” Commissioner (S5) also spoke directly to colleagues and staff: “I do wanna thank staff and council and everyone that I've served with present and past… pleasure meeting you and being able to serve with you and just happy to have served this city that I love so much.”
Participants briefly discussed taking a photo together; the Chair adjourned the meeting at 12:13.
