Springfield Township’s Committee approved three ordinances on second reading at its regular meeting.
Committee member (speaker 10) moved to adopt Ordinance 2025-05, which updates the township code’s tree removal and replacement provisions and contractor insurance requirements; the motion was seconded and the public portion was opened and immediately closed with no speakers. A roll-call vote approved the ordinance.
The Committee then approved Ordinance 2025-06, amending sick-leave provisions for certain township employees, following the same procedure: motion, second, no public comment, and a roll-call adoption. Finally, the Committee adopted Ordinance 2025-07, which revises aspects of the fire-department promotional process; again the public portion drew no speakers and the ordinance passed on roll call.
The ordinances were adopted as read by the clerk and were publicized in the local notice (listed as published 04/03/2025 in meeting comments). No amendments were recorded during the meeting and no immediate implementation dates were announced.
