Council authorizes advertisement for bids on 2025 Steep Street Improvement project

Mister Erickson told the council that plans and specifications have been prepared through the public improvement process and that the project notice must run for 21 days. "We had previously been authorized to prepare plans and specifications ... we are here today with plans and specifications prepared, and so we're asking that you approve those plans and specifications and authorize the advertisement for bids," Erickson said. He added that the city will bring the bids back to the council after the bid period ends.
Council members asked for timing; Erickson said the advertisement will run in June and bids would be considered at the next available council meeting in June or July. Council approved the resolution on a voice vote with no opposition recorded in the transcript.
Staff said they will return to council with received bids and a recommendation for award or further action.
