OVCA teacher named Top 10 Oklahoma Teacher of the Year finalist

Board members were told Grunewald’s classroom approach emphasizes the virtual model’s capacity to serve diverse student needs.
Plummer presented Grunewald as believed to be the first teacher from a virtual charter school to reach the Top 10 list for the state award. Grunewald addressed the board about her teaching approach and the impact of charter and virtual models on student access and support.
The board recognized Grunewald in its board-spotlight segment; no board action was required.
