Elk County commissioners select Steger Masonry for Ridgway curb-cut, table jail restoration bids and ratify software renewal

The Elk County Board of Commissioners met at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 2, 2026, at the Thomas G. Wagner Conference Room in the Elk County Courthouse Annex. Commissioners M. Fritz Leeker, Matthew G. Quesenberry and Gregory J. Gebauer were present, along with county staff, agency representatives and members of the public.
The board accepted a recommendation from Becki Taylor, CDBG coordinator, to award the FY2022–FY2023 Ridgway Borough curb-cut project to Steger Masonry. Three bids were opened: John Anderson Construction ($299,992.00), St. Marys Masonry ($122,620.00) and Steger Masonry ($102,197.00). Commissioner Matthew G. Quesenberry moved to select Steger Masonry; Commissioner M. Fritz Leeker seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
