Sandown North fifth graders present D.A.R.E. lessons to board and lead pledge

One presenter explained the lessons teach students to recognize peer pressure and make healthy choices. The group shared pictures from last year’s ceremony and noted this year’s D.A.R.E. certificate ceremony will be on May 29 with a barbecue at 12:45 p.m. and a 2:00 p.m. program where parents are invited.
Board members praised the students for their presentation and their earlier leadership in leading the pledge of allegiance. The board asked students follow‑up questions about what they learned; students said they valued learning how to make good choices and communicate effectively.
