Fremont County commissioners approve personnel rehire, treatment-court MOU and a host of payments and permits

The Fremont County Board of Commissioners on April 7 approved a series of routine but consequential administrative actions including personnel, contracting and payments.
Commissioners authorized the rehiring of a Maintenance Tech II in the Detention Center with an annual wage not to exceed $39,300 after a request from Building Maintenance Director John Harmelink; the motion was moved by Michael Jones and seconded by Jennifer Wilson and carried unanimously.
The board approved a Memorandum of Understanding between Fremont County Treatment Courts and Specialty Counseling & Consulting to provide clinical supervision services (moved by Clarence Thomas; seconded by Jennifer Wilson). The commissioners also approved Title 25 payments to Ethos Transportation Assistance in the amount of $2,457.46 (moved by Ron Fabrizius; seconded by Jennifer Wilson).
During the meeting commissioners reviewed and approved several permit and right-of-way actions (Approach/Access Application 2025-021A; Right-of-Way/Bore Applications 2025-162U, 2025-161U, 2025-160U) and a Memorandum of Agreement between Eagles Hope Transitional Housing and the Fremont County Opioid Workgroup concerning opioid funding terms. The minutes list extensive vendor billings and large payroll and benefits payments accepted by the board.
The board held two executive sessions during the meeting: a personnel session from 10:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. and a session for potential litigation from 11:15 a.m. to 12:10 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 12:25 p.m.
