Paul Peterson, a Sammy’s Place board member, described the development as a pilot for similar future projects.
Council members asked questions about design, services and funding; the presenters responded but the council did not take formal action and directed staff to retain the project on future agendas as details and financing are refined. No vote or commitment of city funds was recorded at the meeting.
