Miss Fredericks elected president of Pasadena Unified board

Miss Fredericks was chosen as president of the Pasadena Unified board during the meeting, where trustees approved the slate of officers by a sweep motion. Trustees moved to approve items a–e, and the motion passed by voice/hand raise.

Beverly Rodriguez, president of the Pasadena Association for Career Technical Educators, congratulated Miss Fredericks and thanked the board for declining proposed cuts to career and technical education this year, saying the board members were "champions and defenders of the student experience."
