Ambulance service says security cameras and roof repairs are top priorities

The ambulance service representative told the ad hoc facilities planning committee that the service does not currently need additional space but does seek improvements to site security and building repairs. The official said Barb provided notes indicating a desire to add more exterior security cameras to help secure the area and to make incident review easier.

Committee members asked whether any added cameras would join the county’s existing camera network and whether extra ports, servers or switches would be required. The agency official said new cameras would need to work with the county network and that funding would likely be pursued through future budgeting (FY2027 was mentioned as a target). "It's probably not something we would do through this process, but something that we would work on through, like, 2027 budgeting," the agency official said.

The representative also reported that roof repairs are underway and that staff are finishing work to properly close and secure a former drive‑up window at the building’s rear. When asked whether bay‑door problems remain, the presenter said they had no current reports of issues but would double‑check with Barb.

The chair moved approval of the agenda earlier in the meeting and later declared the minutes approved; no public commenters addressed the ambulance item. The committee did not take a formal motion specific to ambulance facility spending at this meeting and directed staff to list the need in the capital improvement plan for future budgeting consideration.
