La Crosse County contract-unit supervisor to retire; Paul Menager named interim

Chris Sander, the La Crosse County contract unit supervisor, told vendors the county is preparing for her retirement and leadership transition. “I am retiring as of April 4,” Sander said, and she announced that longtime contract specialist Paul Menager will serve as interim contract unit supervisor.
Paul Menager, a county contract specialist who led introductions at the meeting, was named to ensure continuity while leadership determines a long-term structure for the unit. County staff said the contract unit will continue regular operations during the interim period and that Tiffany Cornell and Cindy Werschke will take on additional responsibilities to support the transition.
The announcement came at the start of the all-vendor meeting, which organizers used to remind providers how to contact the contract unit for questions about provider agreements and audits. County leaders encouraged providers to continue using existing channels for questions and to monitor forthcoming communications from the contracting unit.
